The catchtank is placed in fuel circulation between fuel pump and tank. The catchtank has a slight amount of overpressure in it, so running dry of the fuel pump and blistering of the fuel is prevented. It guarantees permanent fuel supply as well as constant fuel pressure even on high g-forces.
